Product Description
Syringe filters offer easy-handling microfiltration for HPLC sample preparation and other life science laboratory filtration applications such as filtration of cell and tissue culture media etc. Polytetra fluoroethylene PTFE Syringe Filters from us consist of premium PTFE filter membranes and high-density polyethylene housing. Syringe filters with hydrophobic PTFE filter membrane are highly recommended for preparation of HPLC and GC samples, sterilization and clarification of most solvents and filtration of gases and for sterile venting.
Features of Hydrophobic PTFE Syringe Filters
• Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE, Teflon) membrane, hydrophobic
• Very high flow rate
• High chemical resistance to most solvents and acids, with chemical compatibility of pH 1-14
• Low dead volume
• Sterilization by autoclaving at 121ºC or by ethylene oxide
• Free from wetting agents
• They must be pre-wetted with a polar solvent such as ethanol or isopropanol before filtering aqueous samples.
